Chapter Eleven · 11
The Making of 2660
A home refined through challenge, coordination, and persistence.
“Quality is not the absence of problems. It is the refusal to solve them carelessly.”
Every custom project evolves. At 2660 Torrance Boulevard, city approvals, field conditions, sequencing, material availability, and design refinements required ongoing coordination.
The front wall was revised and re-approved. Drainage solutions were added where the site demanded them. Landscaping and irrigation were integrated with hardscape. Glass, lighting, hardware, closets, finishes, and exterior elements were repeatedly reviewed against the whole design.
Those decisions are part of the home's story. They reveal a process built on inspection, patience, and a willingness to improve the work rather than simply move past it.
