Chapter Five · 05

The Heart of the Home

A kitchen designed for daily rituals and unforgettable gatherings.

“Every memorable evening eventually finds its way back to the kitchen.”

The kitchen was conceived as the social center of the residence—a place where cooking, conversation, homework, celebration, and everyday life naturally overlap.

Generous work surfaces support serious preparation while the island invites people to gather without interrupting the cook. Cabinetry, appliances, lighting, hardware, and surfaces were coordinated to feel refined without becoming precious.

The kitchen opens naturally toward the principal living spaces, allowing the person preparing a meal to remain part of the room. It is practical enough for a quiet weekday morning and generous enough for the holidays everyone remembers.

Builder's Design Note

The strongest kitchen compositions will show the relationship between island, cabinetry, appliances, and family room—not just isolated finishes.
